***3rd Shift***6pm to 3 am***

***Picking up & dropping at Port of Long Beach***

Mohawk Industries is seeking a qualified candidate to perform port drayage pick up and deliveries of international shipping containers for a night-time application shift, also known as Off-Peak Hours at the Ports of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach.  Drivers will operate during the hours of 6:00pm to 3:00am (or longer if OT is required to perform duties).  Drivers will be required to follow dispatch instructions to ensure containers are promptly picked up and delivered to either our Ontario or Fontana facilities, and empty containers are returned to avoid any demurrage and detention charges.


  • Complete pre-operational and post-operational inspections on all job related equipment to include tractors, trailers and off loading devices.      
  • Complete required DOT and company related paperwork. 
  • Operate equipment in accordance with DOT and company rules. Adhere to all local, state and federal laws. 
  • Communicate with regional transportation personnel at regular intervals throughout route.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements outlined in JSA.
  • Must be willing to cross-train on other jobs 
  • Any other duty or assignment requested by management.



  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (CDL Class A)         
  • Required drayage experience in Port of Los Angeles & Port of Long Beach:  6 months to 1 year    
  • Must be knowledgeable of DOT regulations. 
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and written.     
  • Must have valid TWIC card for port entry
  • Driver must possess basic knowledge of local port operations, terminals, gates, etc within Port of Los Angeles and Port of Long Beach
  • Must have ability to read, write and speak English fluently and able to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Must have ability to handle GPS, maps, receipts and other technical or physical components of record keeping
  • Must have knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection/maintenance, and other related topics
